Mental Health Mates is a network of peer support groups IRL and online, run by people who experience their own mental health issues, meeting regularly to walk, connect and share without fear or judgement. With Walks across the United Kingdom, Mental Health Mates has become a thriving community that only continues to grow! We know, from personal experience, that mental illness magnifies through isolation. So whether it is talking to someone, sharing with them or simply walking beside them, we believe that getting connected is the first steps to recovery.

Small steps to a brighter future. We support people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, and those with complex behavioural needs. More than ever, people in our society need what we have to offer: the expertise, experience, and empathy to bring about real, lasting, positive change. It can be the smallest of steps or the greatest of strides. Always, it’s about moving forward, achieving one milestone after another, building momentum. Momentum shows itself in many ways. It’s never feeling comfortable with the status quo. It’s doing the right things for the right reasons. It’s the thousand little changes that happen across our organisation each day. Changes that collectively, and ultimately, transform the lives of the people we support.

RABI – the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution – is farming’s oldest and largest charity. We’ve been serving the farming community since 1860. We offer financial support, practical care and guidance to farming people of all ages, including farmers, farmworkers and dependants. Although a lot of the help we provide is financial, we do much more than send out cheques in the post. We strive to build personal relationships and will tailor our support to suit you. If we can’t directly provide what you need, we’ll do our best to liaise with other organisations and agencies on your behalf. We’re here for the small things as well as the big and treat every application for support on its own merits, working with compassion and discretion. It’s our vision that no member of the farming community should ever have to face adversity alone.
