We help people find a way forward. We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice, we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are and whatever their problem.

At CrossReach we offer loving care to people of all ages who are in need of a helping hand, supporting them to live life to the full whatever their circumstances. We have been at the forefront of high quality social care for 150 years. We aim to improve the happiness and wellbeing of people across the UK by bringing communities together and inspiring them to make positive changes where they live. As part of the Eden Project, we're exploring how people can work with each other, and with nature, towards a better future. We believe that connected communities are more resilient against local and global issues and are better equipped to tackle challenges and bring about positive change. Supporting positive male involvement, engagement and activity whilst also addressing the stereotypes around masculinity and engaging in the wider conversation of what it means to be a man. We do this by providing support at key transition points in their lives. Since our inception in 1988, experience has shown us that if boys at risk of becoming disengaged from school, community and mainstream services end up being socially excluded they are likely to be isolated and end up in gang and criminal activity leading to a further trajectory of negative pathways in their lives. Through our evidence-based and practice-led services, we work with boys and men from childhood to 25 to help them become healthy future men. From structured school programmes and youth hubs to individual one-to-one sessions and outreach work, we provide the vital support and advocacy that changes boys and young men’s lives for the better.

Too often, people feel afraid to admit that they are struggling with their mental health. This fear of prejudice and judgement stops people from getting help and can destroy families and end lives. Heads Together wants to help people feel much more comfortable with their everyday mental wellbeing and have the practical tools to support their friends and family. Heads Together is a mental health initiative spearheaded by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which combines a campaign to tackle stigma and change the conversation on mental health with fundraising for a series of innovative new mental health services.

Help Bristol’s Homeless is a registered charity with a mission to change the face of homelessness in Bristol. Unlike many homeless charities, our ethos is that housing must come first, and then everything else comes after. Many complex factors can lead to homelessness, and while it is true that these issues need to be resolved to keep people off the street, we believe that the priority must be to get people into safe, stable and comfortable accommodation. From there, we can help them to improve their own lives and reach their potential. Free clothing and food can help people to survive homelessness, but it does not provide a way out. Programmes aimed at resolving complex issues such as addiction are vital but do not solve the day-to-day problems of being homeless. We do not believe a person suffering from homelessness can make the most of these programmes, or reach their potential when they face a daily task of finding a safe place to stay. We believe that the best way to help homeless people is to give them a secure base from which they can build their lives. We work with the support of our directors, trustees, staff and volunteers to build temporary accommodation, to be used by residents while they access the help they need to secure a permanent home. By providing users with the security and dignity that everyone deserves, we empower them to take an active role in improving their situation. Our mission is to get homeless people off the street first, and then give them a helping hand in the right direction.

At Help for Heroes, we believe those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds; their lives changed forever. We help them, and those still serving, to recover and get on with their lives. We give them physical, psychological, financial and welfare support for as long as they need it. We also support the families of wounded veterans, because they too can be affected by their loved one’s wounds.
While it takes strength to serve in the Armed Forces, it takes a different kind of strength to live life beyond injury. We believe anyone affected by their military service deserves to live a secure and healthy life with purpose. Together, we can help our wounded veterans overcome their daily battles and thrive.
